Below is a direct link to the installation file for AVG AntiVirus v8.01 for those of you having a problem finding the new free version. I should also point out a couple of important items…
- You do not need to uninstall AVG AntiVirus v7.5 prior to installing 8.01
- You should (or I would) uncheck the option to install the AVG Security Toolbar when prompted
- It would be a good idea to change the time of the daily scanning from 12:00PM to 12:00AM when prompted
